If you have any health conditions that impact your skin, heart, blood or hair growth you should contact your doctor prior to starting laser hair removal
Avoid any type of tanning for 3-4 weeks prior to treatment, this includes the sun, tanning bed, and self tanner.
Make sure you are using at least an SPF of 30 while out in the sun
Shave the area you are having treated 24-48 hours prior to your appointment.
(Depending on how quickly your hair grows)
Arrive with clean skin. There should be no lotion, make-up, perfume or deodorant, in the area to be treated.
For best results discontinue waxing, tweezing, threading, sugaring, and depilatories for at least 3 weeks prior to starting treatment.
Avoid topical irritants for 3 days prior to treatment. This includes retinols, products containing tretinoin, salicylic acid, and glycolics.
Accutane should be discontinued for at least 6 months prior to starting laser.
Avoid anticoagulants for 7-10 days prior to treatment, if medically permitted.
Your diet can affect your sensitivity. Avoiding stimulants, such as caffeine, chocolate and sugar prior to your appointment can help.
Please discuss the option of a topical anesthetic (numbing agent) with us. Product must be removed prior to the treatment.
We will discuss the best way for this to be applied for maximum effectiveness.
Menstruating clients may find they are more sensitive during or right after their menstrual cycle, and may want to avoid making an appointment at this time.
