Everyone's skin reacts differently to laser. You might notice redness and swelling for the first few hours after your appointment.
Avoid sun exposure after your laser hair removal treatment. If you must be out in the sun, wear a sunblock of at least SPF30.
Avoid touching the treated areas, this includes picking, scratching and rubbing. Bacteria is everywhere and on everything. Touching your skin with dirty hands can cause you to break out, and even lead to infection.
Avoid hot tubs, saunas and pools for 48-72 hours after your treatment.
Avoid any harsh products for 2 weeks such as, microdermabrasion, retinoids or glycolic acid. This also includes any deep exfoliation treatments, and creams containing a chemical exfoliator.
It is important to stay on schedule for your hair removal treatment. Typically, your next treatment should be scheduled 4-6 weeks away.
Apply a cold compress to reduce inflammation and swelling. Using an ice pack on the treated area following treatment will reduce swelling and inflammation.
In studio aftercare products can be purchased to help alleviate any redness and irritation.
Do not use any other hair removal methods, such as, waxing, tweezing, threading, sugaring or depilatories in between appointments. You can shave in between.
Hairs do not fall out immediately, but you will shed them over a period of days to weeks. You may help the hairs shed faster by exfoliating the treated area(s).
